Seriously?
Come on guys, don't you pay attention?
They're less people online now because students are heading back to school/college. After all, the average age of EVE playerbase is what?
The lack of players throughout this summer was in no way related to the earlier "Gold Ammo" debacle. Nope, it was because EVERYONE was taking vacation.
NOW... let those kiddies get back to school and college, mkay?
I await Tippia to come and dispute your claim.
Summer has nothing to do with a decrease in active players. Compare last years PCU to this years during the same time frame and you will see a dip. Not only that even with it being summer there is always a peak right after a expansion is released, no matter what season it is. There was non this time and actually there was a dip(if I remember correctly) when it came to Incarna.

I don't know. Maybe because someone installed territory claim units out there? and set up POSes? Unless this is all only for moon mining.....
Most of null is useless. The only reason people claim them is for a buffer zone and to help secure moon mining POSs. Plus its better to claim Sov near your "home" area then it is to leave it unsov where a enemy could easily take it and use for logistical reasons.
But its all a mute point since null is for the most part ****, hence why most don't even log on unless theres a broadcast or a timer for a fleet.

Originally by: Tippia If you don't want to trust CCP's numbers, then that's probably an indication of an even larger problem
That image didn't make any claims about where it got its information, or provide any way to fact check it at all. You giving it your complete trust without any backing might be an indication of an even larger problem.
His numbers are pulled from Chribbas site, which are pulled from the Eve Api. Also the slow decline doesn't seem that bad now, but mainly because people are unsubbing a lot of alt accounts. Most seem to be waiting it out to see what Winter has in store. If the Winter expansion bombs as bad as Incarna expect to see those numbers drop at a faster rate.
